Lucky Duck (shark)
Connor's had a great several days that have featured lots of playtime outdoors at the pool, on walks, or at various playgrounds. Here he is standing in the doorway of the place we're presently calling home.

He has remained completely unfazed by the past month of arriving in a new country, staying with my family for a week, then staying with my extended family for a week (during which he learned 25+ new names and faces, amazing!), and returning only to pack up and move to a completely new setting.
It's hard to believe that he's not yet two. He's potty training and is doing really well with it (phase I was completed in Japan and he's now progressing through phase II). He recognizes most letters and has even begun to associate them with words, i.e., H is Hubbard's and E is Emily's. He's mastering number recognition and counting to 20.
As I'm losing my memory, his amazes me, especially when it comes to people (but I guess when you're one there's not a whole lot else to remember) - he'll see a picture or an object and recall the name of the person that matches it. We laughed at the Bay because out of everyone, generally Connor could tell you whose shoes, whose phone, or whose keys they were. It's really fun to observe how his little brain operates.
