Weekend Adventures

Connor enjoyed an eventful weekend. Saturday, in Osaka, he looked out over the city from the Umeda Sky Building and later visited the world famous aquarium.

Sunday morning he visited the ninja museum again. This time he was bold enough to volunteer to demonstrate the hidden revolving door in the ninja house (assisted by Shawn). Here is Connor in front of the crowd, proud of his accomplishment.

Next, it was on to the castle. For the first time we visited the three exhibition floors. Here, a disinterested Connor pauses long enough for a photo in front of the samurai armor with mom.

The spring ninja festival, lasting until May 5, began this weekend, and on our way home we encountered a small sized ninja (ninjette?). Here she is with Connor.

The close to a wonderful day was a kaiten sushi (sushi a la conveyor belt) dinner with his friends. Connor doesn’t eat anything raw, but he enjoys egg sushi – here, you can see a little egg left on his plate.

For all the activities, he was very well-behaved, and at dinner we found out that he knew the name of everyone at the table. (by Elizabeth)
