Connor in Japan
After one week Connor has finally made the adjustment to the 14-hour time difference and is back on a regular schedule (much to the relief of his parents). It gets light here at around 5 AM, so he often wakes early. He’ll have a bottle and go for a morning stroll. He hasn’t done any more walking since arriving in Japan, so really he just rides.Unfortunately we do not have our main computer yet, so there will be no Connor pictures for a while. Truly it is very unfortunate because that is likely the best feature of this blog, but if you want to read about what Connor is doing, you can still come here. Mom is writing, Dad is posting, when possible. This past Sunday Connor went to Kyoto. He enjoyed the train rides (the scenery through the Kansai countryside is BEAUTIFUL) and charmed all kinds of people along the way. We visited a garden and the Shin Buddhist temple Higashi Honganji and basically remained in the vicinity of the train station, which if you look it up, is massive. I imagine one could live there because it seemed to have everything a person could ever need or desire. We checked out Gap and BabyGap just for kicks; the clothes, music, and prices were essentially the same as in the States. We saw a good number of Westerners as well as lots of cute Japanese kids out shopping with their families.
