Akame Falls

Monday was a national holiday here known as Respect for the Aged. We took off and visited the nearby Akame 48 Falls, rated the number one waterfall spot in Japan. It was amazing! We didnt make it all the way to the top, but we enjoyed being in the gorgeous and tranquil natural surroundings and plan to visit again. It was very easy to reach, by train to Akameguchi and then bus up into the mountains to where the 48 waterfalls begin. Connor took it all in stride. Joe and I were exhausted by the day’s end, but Connor didn’t even take a nap. That’s how it is when you are the carried as opposed to the carriers….
